Boots Shoes
What kind of shoes/boots do you wear in a city/suburb area during a snowy winter?
I’m going on a trip to Calgary, Canada this winter and I’m not sure what kind of footwear I should get since I’m from the south and we never get snow. Would regular Timberland boots work? Any ideas?
I agree that they should be water resistant. I also think that they should have good traction as well. You could be walking on icy, slushy sidewalks that could be slippery, especially if the stuff is a couple of inches. I prefer boots over shoes in winter so the snow doesn’t get on my sock, then soak through to my food and leg. That is not comfortable. I have a pair of black boots with a two inch high heel that is also about two inches wide. I found them at Payless last year and they work well. I just wouldn’t mind a pair like that in brown.
